Jamie DeLoma is the assistant director of public relations and social media and an adjunct professor of journalism at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn. He also copy edits, designs front pages and blogs for some of the largest daily papers in Connecticut, including the Connecticut Post, Advocate of Stamford, Greenwich Time and Danbury News-Times. He is the vice president of the Connecticut Professional Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists and a member of the organization’s national digital media committee. He is also a contributor to the Radio Television Digital News Association. Recently, he has participated in panel discussions and led conversations on journalism and social media at SPJ conferences at Temple University in Philadelphia in 2008 and City University of New York in Manhattan in 2009; and at the New York Press Club Foundation Journalism Conference at New York University in 2010. Previously, he worked as a news editor at NBC New York and FOX News and taught media technology at Southern Connecticut State University.
